Faculty Postition Forest: Pathology/Pest Management



                      POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
                                
                  Assistant/Associate Professor
                 Forest Pathology/Pest Management



     The School of Forestry, Auburn University, is soliciting
applications for a tenure-track, twelve-month,research/teaching
faculty position in forest pest management with emphasis in forest
pathology.  The incumbent will conduct forest pest management
research to complement the School's strengths in nursery
management, forest regeneration and ecology/silviculture. 

     Teaching may include undergraduate courses and will include
responsibility for at least one course at the graduate level in
Integrated Forest Pest Management.  The successful applicant will
also collaborate on multi-disciplinary research with other faculty
members, advise students, serve on School and University committees
and perform other duties normally associated with academic
appointments.
     
     Applicants must have completed all requirements for the PhD
with emphasis in forest pathology or a closely related field. 
Additional expertise in one or more of the following is required:
pest management, nursery pests and forest entomology.  Research
experience beyond the PhD and professional or educational
experience in forestry are desirable. Preference will be given to
candidates with a demonstrated ability to aquire extramural funding
and publish in refereed journals. Salary will be commensurate with
experience and qualifications.
