Allegany Community College, a comprehensive public two-year institution, invites applications for a 10.75 month/year, tenure-track faculty position in a SAF recognized Forest Technology Program beginning in the 1994-95 academic year. Responsibilities require teaching at the Cumberland campus and the Bedford and Somerset, PA Centers; also, may be required to teach courses using an interactive two-way video system. Starting date: August 1994. The successful applicant must have a ffirm commitment to teach in a practical, field-oriented program. Primary responsibility for teaching courses in silviculture, urban forestry, insects and diseases, fire control, and others. Must be able to qualify for commercial driver's license. Bachelor's in Forestry and a Master's in Forestry or related discipline required. Teaching experience required. Competency and interest in computer-aided-instruction preferred. Candidates selected for an interview will be required to conduct a teaching presentation. Also important will be effective interpersonal and communication skills. Salary range: Masters degree $26,379 to $32,049, Doctorate degree $27,985 to $37,152, depending on qualifications and experience.
