Re: Effects of uneven-aged harvest methods on soil properties.

	Last year, I attended a very interesting lecture by Henry A. Froehlich, 
Professor Emeritus of Oregon State University at the Southern Interior 
Silviculture Committee winter workshop in Penticton, B.C.  He discussed the 
effects of frequent re-entry with heavy equipment and described a large-scale 
experiment he conducted in Oregon to test skid trail design and treatment to 
reduce soil damage.
