Is anyone aware of literature or previous work which compares the following two methods of calculating tree weight from individual tree destructive samples? (1) Cut tree into bolts, weight them, and add the weights. (2) Cut disks or cookies at predetermined stem locations, determine weight per unit volume for disks, and apply those to bolt volumes computed via geometric assumptions. --Wade Harrison-- 72053.3000@compuserve.com
