POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCH ASSOCIATE TROPICAL FOREST REGENERATION LA SELVA BIOLOGICAL STATION A postdoctoral position is available beginning 1 July, 1994 to investigate seedling establishment, microenvironmental conditions, and ecophysiology in young secondary forests in the vicinity of La Selva Biological Station, Costa Rica. The postdoctoral associate will work in collaboration with co-P.I.'s Robin Chazdon (University of Connecticut) and Julie Denslow (Tulane University) to supervise ongoing field research on environmental heterogeneity and woody species diversity in primary, secondary, and selectively-logged stands. Duration of appointment is 1-2 years. Successful candidates must have good communication skills in Spanish and, preferably, tropical research experience. Application deadline is May 1.
