Hello GIS-L, I am currently looking for a position in recreation management/planning or resource management/planning. I have several possible positions lined up, but would like to hear from anyone with further ideas. I prefer a position in the South, but am open to any suggestions. I will complete my thesis work in May, which will lead to a M.S. of Forestry with an emphasis in GIS/Remote Sensing applications in Forestry. I hold a B.S. of Forestry with an emphasis in recreation mgt/planning. I have just completed a two and one-half year project with Texas Parks and Wildlife as project coordinator. The project involved the development of a Natural Resource Management Plan and Park Master Plan for a new state park utilizing GIS/Remote Sensing technology. My thesis is the development of a GIS application for Park Master Planning. I have taught GIS, Cartography, Surveying, and Dendrology labs. I have several publications and many presentations including one at the 1994 ESRI Users Conference in Palm Springs. I also have a great amount of experience in communication, resource interpretation, and environmental education. Any help would be appreciated and thanks in advance. ************************************************************************ Raymond Sims z_simsrw@ccsvax.sfasu.edu College of Forestry Box 6109 SFA Station Stephen F.
