The Amazonas Forever Green Foundation (a ngo) owns 500,000 ha of Tropical
Rain Forest in the state of Amazon (Labrea, Canutama and Humaita counties).
The Foundation is promoting a seminar in Manaus in March 28/1994 to discuss
the establishment of the first pole for sustainable development of that
region. The Brazilian Minister of Environment is going to be there and
several authorities of Brazil and other countries. You are invited to

The Foundation is going to set aside an area of 104,000 ha for preservation
of the genetic material of the region (and its biodiversity) and 348,000 ha
to develop research and projects for multiple use in a sustainable way.
The Foundation are seeking universities, research institutions, scientists,
ngo organizations, interested in joint research projects, agreements, etc...
