I would like to announce FORESTRY AND THE ENVIRONMENT: ECONOMIC PERSPECTIVES II. This will be held at The Banff Springs Hotel, Banff National Park, Alberta Canada on October 12-15 1994. This meeting is a follow-up to the first conference of the same name held in March 1992. The first one was very successful with over 100 attendees from all over the world and resulted in a book edited by Adamowicz, White and Phillips - "Forestry and the Environment: Economic Perspectives" (1993, Commonmwealth Abstracts Bureau International). This year the keynote speakers are: Emery Castle, Robert Mendelsohn, John Loomis, Tom Heberlein, Roger Sedjo, David Pearce, and Jagdish Nautiyal. The format will consist of formal sessions which will be chaired by invited experts and a general session for other papers. Plans are to produce another book from selected papers and sessions at the conference.
