I have just received the USDA Forest Service National GIS Guidebook - 
publication date Jan. 1994. The Guidebook is a collection of success 
stories from across the agency which show the use of GIS as a tool to 
make imporved resource decisions and recommendations. The guide is 
intened to assist in GIS implmentation.  FS people can probably get 
copies through their Management or Information Staffs.  Others may 
obtain by writing USDA Forest Service IS&T, PO Box 96090, Washington, 
DC 20090 - 6090 USA. The document has 78 pages.
