ECOTECH'94 announces the presentation and discussion of
the paper entitled:

PREREQUISITES FOR SUSTAINABLE COMMUNITIES

Prof. Meier has been involved in numerous international studies, many
of which  are related to socio-economic and environmental planning. He
has acted as a consultant in 35 countries between 1948-1992. Other
major studies include the impacts of advanced science and technology;
flow of resources through large cities; population planning from pill
to strategy for sustainability; methods in futures research, cities
and organizations; paths to sustainibility for urban communities,
gaming simulations of the concept of community; communications stress
in organization and people; etc. His current works include:
1. Elaborating the ecological paradigm for planning
2. The Next Green Revolution for villages and coastal deserts
3. Urban ecosystems synthesis - ways of recycling waste into food,
   water, etc.
4. Steps to international community and dissolution of international
   borders.
