POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT NO. 93-94F24
Position: Extension Forester
Description:
Statewide forestry extension responsibilities (80%) and
College of Natural Resources teaching responsibilities
(20%). Develop forestry extension programs, with priority
to private, non-industrial forest landowners. Through
extension community-based faculty, develop educational
forestry programs which provide for the best use of land
for achieving wood production and forest products, job
creation, recreation, wildlife, and aesthetics as well as
environmental protection. Develop educational programs
that deal with woodland management at the urban/rural
interface. Provide leadership in linking forest management
to water quality issues both on farm and non-farm parcels.
Teach classes at the College of Natural Resources
consistent with expertise.
Qualifications:
Ph.D. preferred, or M.S. and experience in forestry or
related field. At least one degree in forestry.
Appointment Date:
Annual appointment, beginning September 1994.
Rank and Salary:
Assistant Professor, salary commensurate with education and
experience.
