Issues of forest policy remain high on political agenda, posing continuing
challenges to foresters and natural resource decision-makers. OFI, SGS and
IIED are conducting an innovative short course in Oxford from July 1994,
to inform and stimulate decision-makers. Three independent modules are
offered: the first (5 days) will follow a conference/ workshop format;
speakers and participants will focus on the major global issues affecting
forest policy. The second (2 x 7 days) will concentrate on the analytical
frameworks and methodologies necessary to address contemporary
challenges. The third module develops OFI's established courses with
emphases on forest planning and management and rural development
forestry.
