Position: Assistant Professor, Forest Biology
Location: Blacksburg, Virginia
Type of Appointment: Twelve-month, tenure-track
Responsibilities: Teaching and research in Forest Biology.
Research interests in landscape ecology or conservation biology,
with a forest or woody plant emphasis;
Teach at least one undergraduate and one graduate course in area
of specialization;
Advise undergraduates and supervise graduate students;
Conduct research in specialization area and work in conjunction
with existing faculty in forest biology and
wildlife/conservation biology; and
Provide public service outputs when and where appropriate.
Qualifications: Ph.D., with at least one degree in forestry desirable.
Salary: Commensurate with education and experience
