POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
Natural Resource Policy and Economics
The School of Forestry at Auburn University is seeking applications for a
faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level in natural
resource policy and economics. This is a 12 month, tenure track position
with research, teaching, and extension education responsibilities.
Qualifications: Applicants must hold an earned Ph.D. in the area of
natural resources/forest policy or natural resources/forest economics.
Strong socio-economic analytical research skills are required. Education,
research or professional experience related to forestry is highly
desirable. Preference will be given to individuals with successful records
of publication and extramural funding.
Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be expected to 1) develop
a rigorous research program in an area of natural resource policy with
relevance to forestry, especially in the southern United States; 2) teach
undergraduate and graduate courses in forest policy/economics, and; 3)
develop an extension public policy education program dealing with issues
relevant to forestry in Alabama. This faculty member will also collaborate
on multi-disciplinary research with other faculty members, advise students,
serve on University and School committees, and perform other duties
normally associated with academic appointments.
Rank and Salary: Commensurate with training and experience.
