community forestry and co-management

I am currently doing research on alternative forest management regimes in North
America.  As part of that effort I am trying to collect information on both 
community forestry and co-management forestry agreements.  I am looking for
both case study information as well as theoretical work on these topics.

I would be inerested in review pieces that treat community forestry in Europe
or the Third World, but my primary interest is in how the concept is taking
shape in North America.

If you have information or citations regarding community forestry projects, or 
the development of co-management institutions designed to treat forestry issues,
please contact me.
