Hi all! Firstly, apologies if you receive this message more than once. I am sending it to both forest@nic.funet.fi and fmdss-l@pnfi.forestry.ca. I received some correspondance today which mentioned a group of researchers called the "Stand Management Co-op"(?) working at the University of Washington, Seattle on simulated product recovery. I am just embarking on a research programme simulating the effects of stem form and defects on product out-turn of Sitka spruce in the U.K. and am interested to make contact with the group at Washington or, indeed, with any other people working in a similar research area. Time differences, (lack of) cost and speed of communication would seem to make eMail the ideal communication medium! Here's hoping! ======================================================================== Tom Jenkins Lecturer in Forest Management School of Agricultural & Forest Sciences University of Wales Bangor Gwynedd LL57 2UW U.K. Tel: +44 (0)248 382448 Fax: +44 (0)248 354997 eMail: afs001@bangor.ac.uk ========================================================================
