I want to review methods of "smoothing" an increment of volume over the
bole of a tree of given height and diameter. Height to crown base also
available. This is needed as the final step in converting an increment of
stem carbon from a tree level carbon balance model to changes in
dimension. I would appreciate a few of your favorite references.
