The International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing 
(ISPRS) and I think IUFRO S 4.02.05 and sponsoring the International 
Symposium on Resource and Environmental Monitoring, 26-30 September 
1994 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Symposium topics will include: 

1) aspects of physical measurements and signatures in remote sensing for 
   resource and evironmental monitoring, 
2) resource and environmental monitoring using radar, 
3) renewable resources, 
4) non-renewable resources, 
5) terrestrial ecosystem monitoring, 
6) land degradation and desertification, 
7) hazardous waste & environmental pollution, 
8) snow, ice, ocean and coastal zone monitoring, 
9) human settlement, 
10) global monitoring.  

A call for papers is open until 21 Jan. 1994.
