Soil water potential of forest floor horizons

Dear Colleagues:

    I am interested in estimating the soil water potential of forest floor
organic horizons (Oi, Oe+Oa, or Oi+Oe+Oa) from observed moisture contents. 
The observed moisture contents were measured monthly in two northern
hardwood stands in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan U.S.A.  Please contact me
at the E-Mail or postal address below if you are aware of any work which has
developed or publications which have presented equations relating soil water
potential to soil moisture content for any of these organic horizons in
temperate deciduous ecosystems.
