and quality assessment
Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada
September 11-15, 1994
Sponsored by

S1.05-04 Characterization of Plant Material
S2.01-00 Physiology
and the
Ontario Forest Research Institute
PURPOSE OF MEETING
Over the past 15 years, forestry scientists throughout the world have devoted
tremendous effort toward developing methods for measuring and maintaining
plant quality for outplanting.
The goal of this meeting is to bring together world leaders in plant quality
assessment to synthesize the current state of knowledge and to point to
directions for the future of this important field of study.
PARTICIPANTS
The symposium will be of interest to anyone involved in the development and
application of procedures for the assessment of plant quality, particularly as
it relates to reforestation success. Participants will be scientists,
foresters, nursery workers and others interested in forest regeneration.
LANGUAGE
The working language of the symposium will be English.
