I run the Nursery Technology Cooperative at Oregon State
University. Your projects modeling and monitoring the
environment sound interesting, but it concerns me that
modeling and monitoring only deal with half the problem.
What is your organization doing about collecting seeds,
propagating the myriad of species involved, re-establishing
habitat where one once existed, and a whole host of other
PRO-ACTIVE scientific endeavors? Modeling and monitoring
are passive exercises.
