Re: Vacancy in teaching Soils

I just received notice of your search for a lecturer in Soil Ecology
/Soil Mangement. Could you provide me with more detail of exactly
what you are looking for? I have some interest in seeing your part of
the world and I have a strong background in Forest Soils and Site
Productivity (both teaching and research). Currently I am Associate
Research Professor at the Cooperative Forestry Research Unit, University
of Maine. I am working on productivity oriented site classification,
watershed response (soil and streamwater chemistry) to management, and
nutrient cycling rates across the climatic gradient in Maine. I taught
Forest Soils for 4 years at SUNY College of Environmental Science and
Forestry, Syracuse, NY before coming to Maine. This semseter I am
teaching Watershed Management. My primary responsibility here is research.

I have a strong background in Biometry.

Would you be interested in seeing my resume? If yes, can you provide me
with a more detailed position description including expected commitment to
teaching, research, and extension, as well as stability of the position.

Thank you.
