Can somebody please help me with a reference, definition or description of 
JAS?  It has something to do with the shipping of roundwood, and it appears 
as if it may be some standard conversion factor by which ship displacement is
converted to cubic metres of timber.  Actually it could be anything and that 
is why several hours in a library has not been of any assistance.
