	MAILSERVER @ NIC.FUNET.FI - Help in English
	  MAILSERV @ FINFILES.BITNET

** HELP responce to `HELP' command. If you want help in **
** Finnish, use `APUA' command and be helped :-) **

*** This server is currently under developement, mentioned
functions may or may not work. No guarantees - yet...

Commands are processed case insensitive in most cases, some
arguments may be case sensitive, but that is mentioned at each
occurrence. (File names are of course case sensitive.)

(Commands with `*' in front aren't implemented completely, or at all.
While some most commonly used commands may have national aliases,
their error messages are always in english.)

General warning:
You MUST NOT use REPLY command to reply to mailserver's return
message, because our long experience has told us not to have system
which responds from same address as it listens to.
(This is thanks to delivery errors and buggy mailers out there...)

Input LINES are taken in ONE AT THE TIME, lines with only spaces/tabs
are skipped silently. Input line can be turned into comment (even if it is
white-space intended) by prefixing it with one of following characters: ; * #
Commented lines preceding PATH/REPLYTO must be whilespace only.
First unrecognized command causes rest to be flushed.
However, most common form of UNIX mail .signature is detected and silently
skipped without error. (It is prefixed with line: `-- ', not with `--' !)

Commands:

HELP	(no arguments) Lists this command summary.
HELP	<topic> Gives other (detailed) help.
(Topics can be viewed with HELP HELP, and includes all
commands as well as some other items.)
(Help in finnish with `APUA' command.)

REPLY-TO return-mail-path	If you don't trust your mailer...
	  (Command aliases: REPLYTO, PATH)

For our internal mailing lists, some of which are available
    for everybody, most aren't...
